A quick hello from me
Â
Whenever you’re ready, just press play and I’ll gently tell you more.
A Gentle Welcome
If you’re here, it’s because you want to understand what DIY Journey Membership is, how it works, and whether it feels like the right place for you to begin.Â
Â
This page gives you a calm, clear overview so you can make a grounded, confident decision.
What DIY Journey Membership Is
DIY Journey Membership is a simple way to work through your Journey
Â
Delivered through online videos - independently.
Â
You’ll have access to the full set of tools, exercises, and resources, and you can move through them in the way that fits your life and your routines.
Â
There’s no timetable to follow, and there are no live sessions or appointments.
Â
You can move through the videos steadily, at a pace that works for you, without needing to share anything with anyone.
Is DIY Journey Membership Right for You?
DIY Journey Membership is suitable for people who:
Â
-
prefer to work independently
Â
-
like to protect their time and build routines without external appointments
Â
-
want a clear, structured path
Â
-
want flexibility without needing weekly sessions
Â
-
already have appropriate support in place - such as a therapist, coach, or someone they can check in with regularly
Â
Having external support can make it easier to stay steady when the learning becomes uncomfortable, and can help keep a simple routine going.
What to Expect Emotionally and Practically
Because there are no live sessions or appointments in DIY, you’ll be creating your own routine for watching and following your Journey videos.
Â
Many people discover that this is one of the hardest parts of the Journey, especially at the beginning, because we’re doing this in a very different way from how we’ve tried to deal with clutter in the past.
Â
Instead of getting stuck‑in with the physical clutter straight away, the Journey begins with understanding your clutter - and that can be uncomfortable.
Â
The videos can bring up:
Â
- resistance
Â
- discomfort
Â
- impatience to get started on the physical clutter
Â
- an awareness of just how difficult it can be to get into a routine
Â
This is very normal.
A note about DIY progress
A common pattern for DIY Journey members.
Â
Many people choose the DIY Journey because they prefer to work independently and at their own pace.
Â
That can work well - but it also means the early steps can feel more challenging than expected.
Â
When the Journey videos are followed correctly and the exercises completed as intended, Step 1 brings a level of clarity that can be challenging, and without support it’s common to slow down, feel resistance, and slip into procrastination.
Â
When that happens, people don’t build the momentum they need - they stay in “first gear”, working hard but not feeling the progress that helps the Journey feel steady and achievable.
Â
Some people move past Step 1, but only by skipping the reflection work - which means the difficulty simply appears later, usually around Step 4.
Â
And that can feel disheartening, because by that point they’ve already invested a great deal of time, energy and effort into their Journey.
Â
Discovering then that things feel too overwhelming to continue isn’t a personal failure - it’s simply what happens when the emotional work of Step 1 didn’t have the support it needed at the time.
Â
DIY can be a helpful way to begin, as long as you know that working independently can make the emotional parts of the Journey harder to navigate, and that progress can be slower and more vulnerable than in the supported paths.
Optional Support:
Monday Social Gatherings
A gentle weekly check‑in for connection, not journey-workÂ
Â
Some DIY Journey Members choose to add the Monday Social Gatherings as a simple, optional bolt‑on.
Â
These are light, friendly sessions held at 5pm UK / 12noon ET / 9am PT, where members come together for a calm start to the week.
Â
They’re not teaching sessions and they don’t involve working on your Journey videos.
Â
Instead, they offer a gentle sense of connection and routine - a weekly moment that helps you feel part of something while you move through the Journey independently in your own time.
Â
Many people find that having this small, steady appointment helps them feel less alone with the process, even though the work itself still happens privately through the Journey videos and exercises.
If DIY Feels Hard to Begin
If you know that you find it hard to do things without an appointment...
Â
...or you tend to avoid things when they feel uncomfortable, DIY may not be the easiest place to begin.
Â
In those situations, many people find the Group Journey more supportive, because the weekly appointments make it easier to stay connected to their Journey videos.
Â
Some people begin with DIY and later decide they’d like the steadiness of having appointments, or the predictability of a weekly routine.
Â
If you’re unsure which option is right for you, you’re welcome to book a Clarity Call so we can look at it together.
